The Tripura government has introduced a tax-free budget amounting to ₹27,804.67 crores for the financial year 2024-25, with a deficit of ₹410.69 crores, emphasizing priorities such as education, skill development, and infrastructure. Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy announced the budget allocation, highlighting key areas of expenditure during the presentation at the Assembly in Agartala.
The budget allocates 27.94 percent for salaries and wages, 21.82 percent for capital expenditure, and 11.55 percent for pensions and other retirement benefits, with the remaining percentage designated for developmental activities.
